What is Spark!?

Only available to organizations and their employees, Spark! brains@work is an interactive online program of unique brain training exercises scientifically proven to improve your mental skills in five main areas:

  • Memory
  • Attention
  • Language
  • Visual-spatial
  • Decision making

With regular training, you can expect noticeable results.

How does it work?

Over six months, a series of varied mental challenges designed by a team of neurologists, neuroscientists and cognitive psychologists are emailed to you three times a week.

Each easy to access session only takes around 15 minutes, and is a great way to refresh and refocus at work. Plus, with thousands of hours of interesting exercises, there’s always something new to try.
Because everyone is different, programs are tailored to individuals’ strengths and weaknesses. The right personal level is determined up front, and the sessions are adjusted as you go along. Spark! challenges are user friendly, engaging and rewarding.

What results can I expect?

Just like the body, the brain needs regular workouts to stay in top shape.

Spark! acts as cross-training for the brain, providing a regular and varied mix of exercises. As with physical fitness, it’s the variety along with the frequency that’s important to achieve optimal brain fitness results.

You’ll receive instant feedback after every exercise, and your personal ‘Spark! Profile’ allows you to view your ongoing progress. Your results are also benchmarked against the world’s largest brain fitness database of over 40 million results, ranking you against other people of the same age, gender and education.

Your employer will receive reports with staff results aggregated over selected groups. At the completion of your 6 month Spark! program, you will also receive a comprehensive Personal Cognitive Performance report which details how you have progressed over time within each cognitive area. Remember, Spark! isn’t a test, it isn’t a competition and, importantly, individual employee results are never disclosed to employers.

It’s an entertaining way to train your brain to perform better under pressure, stay focused, maximize memory, and complete tasks faster with increased accuracy. As a form of self development it builds confidence, clarity and concentration, with benefits that apply both at work and as an ongoing part of life.

A recent study presented at the U.S. National Academy of Neuropsychology indicated that participants using these exercises* improved their overall cognitive functioning by 15.6% in just 18 weeks

“The idea that the brain is like a muscle that grows with exercise is not just a metaphor.”
